Something wrong between Ileana and Mamta Mohandas?

As soon as she completes her school exams, Ileana will have an interesting summer vacation, working with Pawan Kalyan in his new film.

She is going to be his heroine in the film that will be launched in June. Allu Arvind is producing the film under his Geetha Arts banner. Trivikram Shrinivas is going to direct this one. Mamta Mohandas was considered for the role. But it looks as if Ileana was picked up for it finally.

Incidentally, this is the second time that Ileana has ousted Mamta and had picked up a role from her.

Mamta Mohandas was the first choice to be Siddharth’s heroine in 'Ata'. But, due to some mysterious reasons, she was removed and Ileana stepped in. 'Ata' is going to be released on the 9th of May, which also happens to be the birthday of its producer, MS Raju.

Is there a war of sorts brewing between these two heroines?

Ileana’s nakhras

Close on the heel of the controversy over Mumaith Khans attitude and behavior comes the story of another actor. This time it is Ileana. She has acted in a few films in Tollywood. Her latest film “Munna’ with Prabhas is ready for release.

At a Pre-release press meet organized today she behaved very rudely with the assembled press photographers. She rudely asked the photographers to leave the venue and refused to take the dais till they left. At this rate, Ileana would find it extremely difficult to survive in the industry.

"Ileana is my good friend" Trisha

Trisha, the former No 1 of Telugu, has now shifted her attention to Tamil. Her plans are working out very well in Tamil. She now has three films with leading heroes in Kollywood, but the actress says that she still is very much interested in getting offers from Telugu too.

She also is very well aware that her biggest competition, as far as Telugu is concerned, is from Ileana.

"You need competition to motivate you to do well. You can't run a race all by yourself, can you? In order to bring out the best in you, you need to accept a variety of roles. Only if you are willing to experiment with your image will you be able to maintain your popularity.

"Ileana is a good friend of mine. She is an excellent actress. Competition is bound to be there. The trick lies in not taking it seriously and doing your job instead. I'm concentrating on doing my job properly. That's the only way you could succeed," she says.

After Shriya, it is Ileana now who's Trisha's good friend!

Munna - Power-packed

Prabhas’ career is at a very interesting stage. He is certainly a star in the making. He has all the ingredients and the wherewithal to go right to the top.
But from time to time, Prabhas makes some wrong choices and his rising graph hits a plateau. But of late, Prabhas has shown the happy tendency to choose the right script.

Yogi was a powerful film with his character being one of the most memorable one. The mother-son sentiment and the extraordinary action sequences saw Yogi through.

In Munna, Prabhas is on a different kind of platform which is, however, equally strong. Produced by the hot shot producer Dil Raju, Munna will be a powerful flick with all the right masala ingredients. Prabhas does not want to talk of the story as yet. But he says this commercial extravaganza has enough surprises to keep the audiences engrossed.

With a newcomer director Vamsi Paidipalli, the film will obviously have some novelty as the director is fresh with ideas and innovations.

The new director, a soft-spoken man, says there are enough things to keep everyone interested. More than the story it is how we have told them is important, he says laying importance on the script.

Ileana, the lissome girl, is the heroine. Having done enough masalas, she knows a thing or two about such a genre.

Prabhas has taken special care to look the part of the role. His looks would be a special attraction, says the director.

Another attraction would be the music of Harris Jeyaraj. In Tamil, he is being rated as high as A R Rehman. His songs have a rare mix of rhythm and lilt. He has given us some memorable numbers, says the director.

Producer Dil Raju is sparing expense to make the film a grand one. I am happy to have got a producer like him for my first film itself, says the happy director.

Shriya is doing a special song in this film Now that would be another big attraction..

After the memorable success of movies like Dil, Arya, Bunny, Bommarillu, Dil Raju seems to be set for a record five-in-a-row.

The film will release in March end.

Cast: Prabhas, Ileana

Music: Harris Jeyaraj

Producer: Dil Raju

Direction: Vamsi Paidipalli

'I won't be mere arm candy to heroes'

Her performance in her debut Pokiri is still widely discussed and she refuses to follow the ways of the industry. But Ileana D'Cruz says she's here to stay.

She's just back from Mauritius after shooting for her forthcoming Telugu flick, Aata, with Siddharth. "It was a song sequence choreographed by Saroj Khan. And considering what a tough taskmaster she can be, I was really nervous. But know what? She actually liked my moves and said I was a good dancer.

It's one of the best compliments I've received in my career," says Pokiri star Ileana. There are reports that her co-star Siddarth has taken his Rang De Basanti success a tad too seriously; he is supposed to have taken over the megaphone from director Aditya and is now ghost directing the film.

"That's utter rubbish," says Ileana. "Siddharth is a very intelligent guy and likes improvising on content. In fact, all of us give inputs, so why single out Sid? He just offers suggestions he feels might work for the film," defends Ileana. So is Aata yet another of those films where the heroine is mere arm candy for the hero?

"It really annoys me to play arm candy to heroes! I hate it when I'm only required to up the glamour quotient; it's not acceptable to me. Some girls get carried away and within no time they're thrown out of the industry. I'm not one of them — acting is about talent, not showing off your booty," says the actress.

Ileana says she's unfazed by the intense competition in the industry. "In fact, I'm on the lookout for competition," she says. "It eggs you on to do better. But otherwise all this talk of backstabbing and catfights is all c**p," says Ileana.

As proof she narrates a recent incident: "I was doing a film with Tamanna and both of us would be punching and elbowing each other and generally having a good time on the sets. Soon enough there were news reports saying that Ileana and Tamanna were seen indulging in a catfight. That was really hilarious," she laughs.

Competition or not, right now Ileana is considered the numero uno actress in Telugu. "I'm working towards it and am almost there," she says. "Besides, I've worked with the best heroes and anyone who looks good with me is welcome to work with me!"

Ileana’s tricks of the trade

Ileana is indeed hot as she has happy knack of picking the right movies with the right star.

For a young girl who has been in the industry for just a year or so, she has done movies with all the he young names that matter in the industry.

NTR, Mahesh Babu, Ravi Teja, and many others.

Now the slim beauty who has a crazed following for her looks and dress, is acting with Pawan Kalyan. Now Pawan is very fresh after the success of Annavaram. Ileana and Pawan are acting in an unnamed movie under Trivikram Srinivas.

The producer is ever-active Allu Aravind. The film went to the floors a few days back unobtrusively.

Devi Sri Prasad is scoring the music. Ileana may have to share space with another heroine.

But she is not frazzled by it. ‘As far as I am happy about my role and the film, nothing worries me,’ she says with stylish casualness.

And when she says you understand why she is so successful.

'Aata' team is on a high

Among the major expectations that Tollywood has is on Aata. This may perhaps end up as the movie of the season as and when it releases.

With MS Raju making a concerted effort to make the movie a big one, the entire team is working doubly hard to make it a success.

The film’s hero Siddharth has almost vanished from the public radar as he is nowhere to be seen. Report say that he is slogging it out with a rare zeal for the movie.

Ileana, the film’s heroine, is also very focussed. She feels that Aata has all the ingredients to be a cult hit.

Director V N Aditya is also on a high. Having been blessed with a boy recently, the director is more thrilled than ever. Aata will be a very different kind of movie, he says.

Siddharth, after Bommarillu’s phenomenal success, was not to be seen anywhere.

But Aata will hopefully prove to be worth all the effort.
