Krishnavamsi's next with Balakrishna?

The title of Krishnavamsi's new film has created lot of curiosity in Tollywood. There was some uncertainty following the cancellation of his new film with Ravitheja. The film was dropped because the producer and hero couldn't work out a salary deal that was mutually agreeable.

Krishnavamsi has now started his new project with Navdeep and Shiva Balaji in the lead. Pre-production works are now on. In another few days, actual shooting will begin.

Meanwhile, Krishnavamsi had already started planning for his next film. As of now, he has only registered the name. 'Bheeshma' is the name that he has picked for the new film. Ever since news about this had got out, speculations are on that Balakrishna might play the lead role. There were talks for a while that the two might end up doing a film with each other soon. Everybody is now wondering if this would be the film.

'Aata' audio launch on April 27

The audio of 'Aata' directed by VN Aditya of 'Manasanta Nuvve, Nenunnanu and Boss'-fame and produced by MS Raju on the banner of Sumanth Arts with Siddhartha and Ileana in the lead is all set for launch on April 27. Presently the film is busy in post-production works. Efforts are on to release the film on May 9.

Director says, 'The producer did not compromise on budget at any point of time.' Dialogues are by Paruchuri Brothers and music is by Devisri Prasad.

Vedika hikes her rates!

Vedika is the slim and beautiful actress who always looks like the much-improved version of Nagma.

Once in a while, she makes an attempt or two to establish herself in Telugu, but with limited success. Then, when Lawrence Raghava approached her for the Tamil/Telugu bilingual 'Muni', she was only too glad to accept it. The film turned out to be an above-average hit in both the languages.

Meanwhile, Simbu was having problems in finding a heroine for his new film. His ill-reputation when it comes to his female-costars had made many leading heroines nervous about acting with him.

Vedika came forward. But suddenly, her rates have shot up. There are talks that she wants Rs 15 Lakhs to act in the role. It also seems that the team is ready to give her that kind of salary.

Dhanush goes to court over remuneration

Hero Dhanush has approached the court regarding non-payment of his agreed remuneration. Dhanush alleged in his complainant that he was promised a remuneration of Rs. 2 crore and later he reduced it by 25 lakh. The producer paid him only 50 lakhs and the remaining is still due.

He told that court that he even agreed to reduce it further by another 25 lakh but even after that the producer did nor pay him the balance amount. He sought the court’s order to stall the release of the film ‘Parattai ennigra Azhagusunandram’. The film is slated for release on April 26.

Meera Jasmine Vs Nayantara!!!

Meera Jasmine and Nayantara have lots of things in common.

Both are from Kerala. Both are Christians. Both came to Tamil and became superhits with just one film. Almost simultaneously, both moved to Telugu. But, as of now, Nayantara seems to have an upper hand in Tollywood. Her popularity outshines Meera Jasmine's. Both are naturals when it comes to getting themselves into gossips and all kinds of troubles

But, in spite of all these things and their career rivalry, they are polite to each other.

So, when Nayantara began to build a palatial house in Kerala, Meera Jasmine paid a visit to the construction site. She was so impressed by the work and the plans that she immediately decided to build a house herself too.

Coincidentally, both the houses are being built at a cost of Rs 1.5 Crores!!!

Simran becomes Prakashraj's wife

The former No 1 Simran has lost al the weight that she had gained during pregnancy and looks stunningly beautiful these days. But that hasn't helped change the attitude of the film industry towards her.

She was considered for a role as comedian-turned-hero Vadivelu in his new film but rumors are on that he wasn't that keen on starring with a heroine who also happens to be the mother of a baby!

But it looks as if ad films are a bit kinder to her than films are.

She will soon be starring as Prakashraj's wife in a commercial.

Her Telugu film with Balakrishna, in which she appears as both his heroine and his 80-year-old grandma is a film that she is looking forward to.

Kodandarami Reddy to launch son Vikram

Director Kodandarami Reddy is all set to launch his son Vikram into films with his new yet to be titled film.

He has zeroed in on Shraddha Arya, a new face in Tollywood. Shraddha played the role of Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter in the film in ‘Nisabd’.

Shraddha was discovered by a TV channel as part of their show ‘Cine Star Ki Khoj’.

Abhinayasri wants to do ‘more’

Abhinayasri has entertained the Telugu audiences with her hot and sexy dance numbers. She now faces tough competition from Mumaith Khan who is giving her a run for her money.

Realizing this Abhinayasri now wants to switch over to meaty roles – read character artist roles.

She did a role in ‘Attili Sattibabau’ and is currently acting in ‘Toss’. She say that while she is open to take up more roles as a character artist she also is looking to lay heroine and has even approached some producers. But it is reported that the producers are ready to offer only dance numbers to her.

'Chirutha' shoots key scenes

The shooting of a film directed by Puri Jagannath and produced by C Aswinidutt on the banner of Vyjayanti Movies with Ramcharan Teja, son of Padma Bhushan, Mega Star, Dr Chiranjeevi, as hero and Delhi model Neha in the female lead, is progressing at a brisk pace in Bangkok.

Some key scenes involving Ramcharan Teja and Neha were shot very recently.

Canning of two songs were also complete, besides an action episode. It is reliably learnt that the entire first half of the film would run with Bangkok in its backdrop.

The film is completely being made a youthful entertainer and Manisharma is giving melodious tunes to all the songs.

The unit members were claiming that Ramcharan Teja is showing very good ease in dance numbers like his father Chiranjeevi.

'Chirutha' is the title under consideration for the flick and it was planned to release the film on August 22.

I am fortunate to play heroine in 'Gnapakam' – Visakha Singh

Directed by Uppalapati Narayana Rao and produced by Kongara Subhashini and Chakradhar Paturi on the banner of German Town Entertainments, 'Gnapakam' with Atluri Venkateswara Rao and Visakha Singh in the lead is all set for release soon.

Speaking on the occasion, heroine Visakha Singh says, 'I am very happy for my introduction as heroine through a Telugu film. Moreover, I was able grab a very good character right in my first movie. It is a matured and responsible character at the same time I could be able to play a bubbly girl character. Of course, I troubled our director Uppalapati Narayana Rao a lot, especially because of language. I don't know Telugu. So he dealt with me very carefully. It remained a memorable incident in my acting career especially in my debut appearance. Everyone would have sweet memories, the director moulded some of such memories on the screen in an effective way. All those who watch the film would deeply involve in the film and identify themselves in one of the charactes. I am very much thankful to the director Rao and producers for giving me such a very good opportunity right in my debut appearance.'

'Munna' cans the last song

Dil Raju is producing 'Munna' introducing Vamsy Paidipally as director, on the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations with Young Rebel Star Prabhas as hero and Ileana as heroine.

Presently a song is being choreographed for the film which is the last one for the film at Sarathi Studios in Hyderabad.

A song 'Koncham Koncham…' tuned by Harris Jayaraj is being shot on Prabhas, Ileana and some dancers at a specially erected huge set. This song would appear before the climax and has a specific mass beat, which had already received good response from the public.

Dil Raju is known for making love and family entertainers and for the first time, he is doing a film in complete commercial format. It was planned to release the film on April 27.

Dil Raju says, 'All those films which have come on our banner were hits one after the other. We are confident this film would be the biggest hits among all the films made on our banner. We are sure that the film would bag hit talk right from the first morning show.'

I will continue my career as an artiste too – Mumaith Khan

Mumaith Khan made her debut into the Telugu films through '1-4-3' directed by Puri Jagannath, and continued her career as an item girl in 'Munnabhai MBBS'.

Later she became popular with her song 'Mannela Tintiviraa… Krishna…' in 'Chatrapati' directed by SS Rajamouli.

She shot into fame with her song 'Ippatikinkaa… Naa Vayasu…Ninda Padahaare…' in 'Pokiri', the film directed by Puri Jagannath which rewrote the 75-year-old Telugu film industry's history with extraordinary collections. Very recently she turned an artiste and played a role as 'Maisamma' in 'Yevadaithe Naakenti' of Dr Rajasekhar.

Later, the directors started giving her roles in their films. She is playing different roles in 'Bhukailas' and 'Operation Duryodhana' now.

Speaking on the occasion, she says, 'I entered into the film industry to become an artiste. However, I turned an item girl in order to not to miss any opportunity. My time is very good now and I earned a good name for my role as 'Maisamma'. The opportunities which I got later in other films would also earn me good name as an artiste. I will continue in the film industry as an artiste, and at the same time, I don't ignore opportunities if I was asked to shake my legs in item numbers.'

All eyes on forthcoming films from Nandamuri clan

The Telugu film industry could not forget the late Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao, who remained the No. 1 hero in the past. Heroes like Balakrishna, NT Rama Rao and Kalyanram who were continuing his legacy in the film industry, gave memorable hit films in their career.

However, all of them were deprived of hits for the past some time.

This has become a cause of concern for their fans as well. But the fans of NTR clan are eagerly awaiting the forthcoming films from their favourite stars.

Directed by YVS Choudary on his home banner Bommarillu, Balakrishna's ensuing movie 'Okka Magaadu' is fast progressing in shooting.

Likewise, the Rajamouli-NTR combo which was proved a big hit with 'Simhadri' is coming up with another socio-fantasy flick 'Yamadonga'.

Finally, Nandamuri Kalyanram is pairing up with director Samudra who is producing a film on his own. This would be the remake of a successful Tamil film 'Sivakaasi'.

All these three projects are coming out as mega projects and all the eyes are eagerly looking at them.

TeluguFilm is also wishing that the three films would be the biggest hits.

Something wrong with 'Don'?

There is something strange happening on the sets of 'Don'. Director Lawrence Raghava first picked up Mamata Mohandas as the heroine and then removed her abruptly.

The reason given was- she couldn't act properly. Now, another actress too found herself out of the film for mysterious reasons.

The success of 'Evadaithey Nakenthi' rescued Rajashekar's career from oblivion. It also made a star out of Mumaith Khan. Until then, Maumaith was only an item dancer in Telugu. The film had her in the role of a police officer. Soon, quite a number of offers followed. 'Don' was one of them.

Even before her role began, news came that she was not going to work in the film. There were contradictory reports. Some said that the director had removed her from the film because she was not professional in her attitude.

But she says that she had walked out of the film because she didn't like the way she was treated on the sets.

Genelia returns yet again!!!

The award for making the most number of comebacks should undoubtedly go to Genelia. Normally, she'd follow every box office hit film with a disaster. That would force her to make a comeback.

Probably for the first time in her career, the actress has now had two consecutive hits!

'Bommarillu' was her previous release. The film was a huge hit and the surprise blockbuster of the season. Her new film is 'Dhee'. Thankfully, this film has received rave reviews and looks very promising.

She is now working in 'Mr Medhavi'.

She is going to be 'Ghajini' Surya's heroine in 'Varaanam Aayiram', his new film with director Vishnuvardhan.

Her career in Telugu always had mixed results, but almost all her films in Tamil had either flopped badly or turned out to be very average at the box office. Let's see if this one changes her record in Tamil.

Ravali gets married

When actresses completely run out of new offers and have reasons to believe that the trend isn't going to change in future either, they usually opt for marriage. Ravali too seems to follow the general pattern.

She had recently got married to a software engineer named Neelakrishnan in Hyderabad.

The actress has made it very clear that she doesn't intend to act in films even if she gets offers to.

Though she is from Andhra Pradesh, she made her debut in Tamil. But after a while, she became immensely popular in Telugu and Kannada too.

About 20 years ago, most actresses usually for married to doctors. The most popular occupation for grooms who get married to actresses these days is software engineering. Laya had got married to one. Jyothirmayi is married to a software engineer.

Something wrong between Ileana and Mamta Mohandas?

As soon as she completes her school exams, Ileana will have an interesting summer vacation, working with Pawan Kalyan in his new film.

She is going to be his heroine in the film that will be launched in June. Allu Arvind is producing the film under his Geetha Arts banner. Trivikram Shrinivas is going to direct this one. Mamta Mohandas was considered for the role. But it looks as if Ileana was picked up for it finally.

Incidentally, this is the second time that Ileana has ousted Mamta and had picked up a role from her.

Mamta Mohandas was the first choice to be Siddharth’s heroine in 'Ata'. But, due to some mysterious reasons, she was removed and Ileana stepped in. 'Ata' is going to be released on the 9th of May, which also happens to be the birthday of its producer, MS Raju.

'Mega Season' soon in Telugu film industry

The Telugu film industry had different seasons like Sankranthi, Summer and Dasara seasons. However, the present year would have a new season called 'Mega Season'.

Because, there will be four films from the Mega Star Chiranjeevi's family this year.

All of them would hit the screen during this year alone. Though four months almost elapsed, only 'Desamuduru' proved to be a blockbuster in this year.

But in the forthcoming months, many films are getting released from the Mega Star's family.

Firstly, Mega Star Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan Teja's debut film 'Chirutha' under the direction of Puri Jagannath would be released on August 22.

After this, Mega Star Chiranjeevi's film under the direction of Prabhudeva, 'Shankar Dada Zindabad' would hit the screen.

Power Star Pawan Kalyan's film with Trivikram Srinivas as director is also getting ready for second schedule.

Above all, Stylish Star Allu Arjun's film directed by 'Bommaillu' Bhaskar is going to be launched in May and likely to be released in December.

Mumaith irked by Lawrence

Hottest vamp in Tollywood Mumaith Khan is irked by some media reports about her walk out from the film, Don. TV 9 carried a story that she was thrown out of the film because of her unprofessional attitude. But her manager says another story.

"It was reported that she came to the sets very late. In fact, it is director Lawrence who made her to wait for hours. First they told it was song. Then they said she would have to dance for just music bit,"� the manager blames.

Anyhow, such things always happen. The final result is that Mumaith Khan is not doing the item song in Don.

'Classmates' ready for release on April 20

Censor activities of 'Classmates' directed by K Vijayabhaskar and produced by Sravanti Ravikishore on the banner of Sravanti Movies with Sumanth, Sunil, Sarvanand, Ravivarma, Sada, Kamalini Mukherjee and Rani in the lead, was completed and the film is slated for release on April 20.

The film is the remake of a successful Malayalam film, 'Classmates'.

Generally, we befriend with our classmates in our school and college days and speak freely with them and reveal what all in our minds with our thickest friends. After the college days, we settle in our respective jobs and in case if we happen to meet after 10 years, we could recollect the memorable days, which we spent during those college days.

Director Vijayabhaskar had moulded one such incident of a few friends meeting after a long time on the screen through 'Classmates'.

Besides portraying the feelings of the artistes in an impeccable style, the director also gave a good message through this movie.

Already the tunes given by Koti became very popular and the audio was proved a success.

'Pokiri' channel

Prince Mahesh Babu is reportedly teaming up with Ashwini Dutt to venture into setting up a TV channel. While Nagarjuna and Chiranjeevi own a share in MAA TV they are not involved in the day to day operations of the channel.

However, the new channel by Mahesh Babu is likely to be different. The media talk says that he is looking to buy out an existing channel. However, there is no word of confirmation either from Mahesh Babu or Ashwini Dutt.

Prince Mahesh Babu is going to star in a new film by MS Raju. The film has been titled 'Hare Rama Hare Krishana'. The film is likely to roll on the sets in September. Mahesh Babu is currently busy with two films of which 'Athidhi' is in final stages.

Chiru to wait and watch

Chiranjeevi was in Suryapet on Sunday to inaugurate the new edition of Andhra Prabha daily. Many speakers at the function made appeals to Chiranjeevi to enter politics and serve the people.

Chirnjeevi in response to their speech said that he never took decisions in haste or for emotional reasons. He said that he was well aware of the people’s sentiments and he would take a decision on entering politics at the appropriate time. The ‘appropriate time’ is a big question mark which only the megastar can answer.

Ileana’s nakhras

Close on the heel of the controversy over Mumaith Khans attitude and behavior comes the story of another actor. This time it is Ileana. She has acted in a few films in Tollywood. Her latest film “Munna’ with Prabhas is ready for release.

At a Pre-release press meet organized today she behaved very rudely with the assembled press photographers. She rudely asked the photographers to leave the venue and refused to take the dais till they left. At this rate, Ileana would find it extremely difficult to survive in the industry.

Mumaith in trouble

Mumaith Khan is inviting trouble for herself. And it is she and she alone who is to blame. The item girl who shot to fame with ‘Ippatikinka Naa Vayasu Inka Padhare’ shot into fame and is at present a much in demand actor. She even bagged a couple of full lengths roles in ‘Operation Duryodhana’ and ‘Bhookailas ’.All this seems to have gone to her head.

She is now playing tantrums with producers and directors. Her attitude is making things difficult for the film makers.On the sets of her current film ‘Don’ her attitude was so irritating that the director Lawrence could not hold his patience any longer and literally kicked her out. It is not known if she is out of the film as well.

Vedika to pair up with Kalyanram

It is well aware that Samudra is producing a film in his own direction with Kalyanram as hero. He chose to remake 'Sivakasi' produced by AM Ratnam in Tamil.

Earlier, it was said that Pawan Kalyan would do that film, after that the names of Stylish Star Allu Arjun and Young Rebel Star Prabhas were made rounds. However, none of them gave nod to the film due to some unavoidable circumstances.

It is now reliably learnt that Kalyanram had accepted to do the film and finalised the deal by signing the dotted line. The film has sentiment within brothers, between brother and sister, besides mother and son in its backdrop, in addition to action.

It is further learnt that Vedika, the heroine of Muni, was asked for dates to play heroine in this film. Music director Srikanth Deva, who gave music to the original version, had agreed to work for the Telugu remake also.

The film is most likely to go to sets in the first week of May.

Srikanth in a novel attire

Srikanth started his film career as a villain, and later turned a character artiste and hero. He earned a place in the hearts of Telugu audiences with his impeccable style and performance. He earned a separate identity of his own and a special image.

He turned a hero with 'Taj Mahal'. His films like 'Pelli Sandadi, Aahwanam and Vinodam' remained blockbusters which proved him as a successful hero. Later, he earned a name as a good performer with his roles in 'Khadgam, Shankar Dada MBBS and Adi Lakshmi'.

Now he had decided to do some other different characters which are novel. As part of the plan, he accepted the role in 'Operation Duryodhana'. Unlike any other artiste, who doesn't want to shed his image, Srikanth tonsured his head for the character in 'Operation Duryodhana' and lived in the character.

The film is all set for release soon. Presently, he is doing the role of 'ATM' again in 'Shankar Dada Zindabad', the sequel of 'Shankar Dada MBBS' which is the remake of a successful Bollywood film, 'Lage Raho Munnabhai.'

He had also agreed to do a film 'Yamagola Mallee Modalayindi' in which he is portraying the role of Yamadharma Raju, which is presently on sets. Meera Jasmine is going to pair up with Srikanth in this movie.

Noted producer GK Reddy had produced a film, SP Parasuram, with Chiranjeevi sometime ago. Recently, GK Reddy's second son Vishaal was introduced as hero through 'Prema Chadarangam' and proved himself with his superb performance.

His other films 'Pandem Kodi and Pogaru' were also proved big hits like straight films though they were dubbed into Telugu. Very recently, his film 'Bharani' was also proved a success.

'Desamuduru' completes 100 days in 129 centres

Directed by Puri Jagannath and produced by Bhagawan and Danaiah on the banner of Universal Media 'Desamuduru' with Stylish Star Allu Arjun and Hansika Mutwani in the lead was released on January 12 as Sankranthi gift and bagged a super-hit talk. The film remained the biggest and the best hit movie in 2007.

When it comes to Allu Arjun's film career, the film had got the highest collections than all his previous films.

Moreover the music provided by Chakri has become very popular and the past three months, the tunes could be heard from every film lover. The comedy by Ali remained another highlight. Moreover, Allu Arjun had toned up the body and proved the Telugu hero's stamina to everyone.

Especially, the way he shook his legs in dances, and flexed his muscles in fights took him 10 steps ahead of every hero.

Heroine Hansika enthralled everyone with her gorgeous appearance and won the hearts of audiences. 'Desamuduru' which had all these specialities had completed 100 days in over 129 centres across the State.

After this film, Allu Arjun is going to play a hero in Dil Raju's film under the direction of 'Bommarillu' Bhaskar. It is reliably learnt that a Malayalam heroine Bhavana is likely to pair opposite Allu Arjun.

Shriya is in high spirits!

Shriya is eagerly awaiting the release of her film, Sivaji with superstar Rajnikanth on May 17. "We have received positive feedback from critics and this has pepped up our spirit.

Mamata Mohandas to play opposite Jagapatibabu

Manly hero Jagapatibabu is presently enjoying the successes of 'Samanyudu' and 'Pellaina Kothalo'. Both of them had celebrated 100 days functions recently.

The industry and the audiences are eagerly looking at the forthcoming flick of Jagapatibabu. This hero is taking a good care to show some kind of difference in each of his films.

The speciality is that JD Chakravarthy is going to direct Jagapatibabu's next film, besides doing a negative role in the same flick. Sources in the film industry say, the film is going to be made by the producers of 'Adi Oka Idilay…' being directed by popular script writer Kona Venkat.

Another interesting point is that popular Malayalam heroine and singer Mamata Mohandas is playing opposite Jagapatibabu as heroine. Though Mamata Mohandas is getting good offers from the Tollywood, she is accepting selected films only if she really likes the character. The film is likely to go to sets very soon.

According to director JD Chakravarthy, the role in this latest flick would have the shades of the role earlier played by Jagapatibabu in 'Antahpuram'.

Bhoomika's Marriage on Cards

Bhoomika says that her marriage on cards but not immediately. She said this in an informal interview that took place freshly on the set of 'Satyabhama'. When asked about her marriage she said that.

Who would be that? Well, that must be her boy friend who is also a fitness expert from Mumbai, say many.
Bhoomika is very good at maintaining secrets regarding her personal life and this is an evidence for that.

Rs 60 million climax for Kamal Haasan's film

Producer V. Ravichandran is spending Rs 60 million (Rs 6 crores) to can the climax sequences of his Telugu film Dasavtharam. The film stars Kamal Haasan as the protagonist.

Sources close to the development say, "In this film, Kamal Haasan portrays 10 different roles. The climax requires the presence of all the 10 characters played by Kamal Haasan. The special effects of the movie will be done in the US."

Dasavtharam co-stars Asin, Mallika Sherawat, Jaya Prada and Napoleon. Himesh Reshammiya has provided the musical score for this film

Karishma Kotak to play heroine in 'Shankar Dada Zindabad'

Padma Bhushan, Mega Star, Dr. Chiranjeevi is playing the hero under the direction of Prabhudeva for 'Shankar Dada Zindabad' produced by Gemini Kiran and Ravishankar on the banner of Gemini Film Circuits.

A song is to be caned at a specially erected at Annapurna Studio sometime this week. Though the regular shooting is in brisk progress, there was a deficiency so far in the film in the form of heroine.

In fact, the producers planned to bring the heroine of the original Bollywood flick, 'Lage Raho Munnabhai', Vidyabalan. Later, the names of Nayanatara, Asin and Anushka were heard. But it is reliably learnt that the unit had finally zeroed in on a Bollywood heroine Karishma Kotak as heroine. Devisri Prasad is scoring music while Srikant is playing the role of ATM, and Sada is playing a main role. The producer and director are planning to complete all the formalities and release the film in July.

Like Chiranjeevi Even Mohanbabu Is On That Track!

Chiranjeevi is keen and attentive in the matter of launcing his son Ram Charan Teja in films. He is observing every aspect and getting update from Bangkok as well.

Well, although it's not debuting time for Mohan Babu's sons, it is said that he is observing every aspect of their sons' performances and films. Right now, being the producer of the film Raju Bhai, in which Manoj is playing lead role, he taught dancing movements to Manoj along with choreographer Ganesh Acharya.

It is said that Mohan Babu is tuning his sons towards perfection and betterment these days although left them with freedom in the initial days of their career.

So, like Chiranjeevi, now even Mohan Babu is keen on 'son aspects'.

Ramba in ‘Evadaina Sare’

Ramba who has moved to Bhojpuri films after losing out to younger heroines in Tollywood, is now back in Telugu with a dubbing film.

She is set to was the Telugu audience with the dubbed film ‘Evadiana Sare’. The film was originally made in Malayalam as ‘Payam Puli’ with Kalabhavan Mani in the lead.

The film is likely to be released in May. Kalabhavan Mani is well known to Telugu audience for his role in ‘Gemini’.Kalabhavan Mani will be seen in the role of a collection agent who works for a dreaded money lender. Ramba hopes that the film would revive her career in Tollywood. The film is likely to be released in May.

Sequels to 'Bobbili Raja' 'Garshana'

Hero Venkatesh has said that there would be sequels to his films 'Bobbili Raja' and 'Garshana'. He said that sequels were natural as it was very difficult to come up with new subjects and stories. Venkatesh is banking heavily on his new film 'Adavari Matalku Arthale Verule'.

He plays the role of a responsible son in the film. He revels in playing family oriented roles and he is sure that his role in the new film would be appreciated by everybody.

Mahesh Babu in Bhaskar's film

Hero Mahesh Babu has reportedly signed new a film to be directed by Bhaskar. Bhaskar shot to fame with his frst film 'Bommarillu'. The new film will be produced by SAkamur Mallikarjuna Rao he is a close relative of Mahesh Babu.

He film will be co-produced with Gurunatha Reddy he is making the film 'Bhookailas'.

MMS scandal involving Namitha, Malavika

Just a few days ago, hot pictures and video clippings of supposedly Trisha, published on the internet rocked the city. Now, after nearly a week, some sexy pictures of girls who seem to be Namitha and Malavika are being circulated through MMS on mobile phones. In these pictures, a female look-alike of actress Namitha is shown having sex with a male model. This scene runs on for nearly 2 minutes.

In another MMS, a topless girl who looks similar to Malavika has been shown kissing a man. These videos are now available on some websites as well.

When asked about such videos, Namitha told us that these are all fake images involving a lot of graphic work, and have been done in cheap taste. "I will go to the police if necessary to prevent the broadcast of these fake videos. The culprits behind these videos think that actresses are willing to compromise on anything. This is a wrong assumption. Every actress has self respect and individuality like any common family girl", Namitha said.

As Malavika is currently on her honeymoon in South Africa, her manager Munusamy came forward to give the required explanation about the picture. "Malavika' is a bold lady. She can never get involved in such kind of an ugly activity. A few days ago, some portals published published her marriage reception photos, which was also done in a similar bad taste. She will never appear anywhere in such an abusive posture".

A few months ago, some portals continuously kept publishing some nude pictures of several actresses, including Sneha, Trisha, Swarnamalya, and Reema Sen. But after receiving complaints from these actresses, the cyber crime wing took necessary action to curb the spread of such videos.

Krishnavamsi-Kalyan combo by end of April

It is well aware that C Kalyan is producing a film on the banner of Teja Cinema with Navadeep and Siva Balaji as heroes under the direction of Krishnavamsi. It is learnt that the story was ready for the film. The unit is busy in search of heroines for the movie.

It is also learnt that 'Mallepuvvu' is the title under consideration. Jyotika Krishna, who played heroine in 'Laila Majnu' was selected as one of the heroines, while search is on for another heroine. It is surprising that Krishnavamsi has come forward to do a film with relatively small casting, after a big hit like 'Rakhee'.

Previously also, Krishnavamsi brought out 'Khadgam' with less popular stars and made it a blockbuster and this film would repeat history, several open. Navadeep says, 'Every artist is to work with a creative director like Krishnavamsi. I am very lucky for getting one such opportunity now.

I will ensure to make best use of this chance.' The film is most likely to be launched on April 25. In case it was postponed, the film would definitely go to sets for regular shooting from May 1.

Weather destroys 'Adhiti's Europe plans

The crew of 'Dubai Seenu', starring Ravitheja and Nayantara, is leaving for Europe to shoot the song sequences of this masala entertainer.

But they are going to be careful in not repeating the mistake that 'Adhiti' crew made. Couple of weeks earlier, the crew of 'Adhiti' went to Europe to shoot some of their song sequences. But, to their horror, they discovered that the weather was particularly unfriendly.

Now they have shifted their venue to Dubai. They decided to complete their Dubai schedule and then return to Europe to complete their song sequences there.

In 'Dubai Seenu', Nayantara plays the role of a female radio jockey. That makes one thing certain- she wouldn't be starring with Chiranjeevi as his heroine in 'Shankardada Zindabad' because in this film too, the heroine is a radio jockey.

'Satyabhama' unit to can songs abroad

The unit of 'Satyabhama', presented by DV Entertainment, directed by Srihari Naidu and produced by B Venugopal, Mamidisetti Srinivas on the banner of Lucky Media, with Sivaji and Bhoomika in the lead is leaving for Europe for the canning of songs. Speaking on the occasion, the director and producers say, 'We have completed our schedule here.

We will soon leave for Europe for canning of three songs. Sivaji is playing the role of a sand sculptor. He falls in love with Bhoomika. How he won her love is the subject. Bhoomika is playing a role on the lines of her character in 'Missamma'. It came out very well. The film is coming up as the second film on our banner.

Like our earlier film, we wish this movie would also be a big hit. Chakri gave tunes for the movie and we will soon launch the audio.' Sivaji says, 'Mine is a very good character in this movie and it is different from routine and never before role.' Art director Nagender says, 'There is a very good scope for Art in this movie.'

Rajashekar launches new film...

'Evadaithey Naakenthi' has turned out to be a big hit and a blessing for Rajashekar and his badly faltering career in the film industry. After celebrating its success, he is now getting ready for the future.

The actor-director team of Rajashekar and Jeevitha are now searching for a good film to be remade in Telugu. There were initial talks that the two have decided to not work with each other in the future projects, but that dispute now stands resolved. Announcements about the new film are awaited. In all probability you can hear something in May this year.

Meanwhile, Samudhra, the associate director of 'Evadaith....' is now getting ready with his next project. Kalyan Ram is going to be the hero. The film is the Telugu remake of the Vijay hit 'Sivakasi'. AM Rathnam had produced the film in Tamil.

Tabu’s new house in Hyd

Tabu has acquired a new house in Hyderabad. The work on the house is complete. When asked whether she was shifting base to Hyderabad she replied in the negative. Tabu says that she will use the house as a holiday getaway. Hyderabad has always held a special place for the actor. Her friendship with actor Nagarjuna still continues to raise speculation.

Tabu is presently doing ramp shows and is enjoying it immensely. She will also walk down the ramp in Madhur Bhandarkar’s new film which is based on fashion. She is also working with Amitabh Bachchan in the film ‘Cheeni Kum’.

'Munna' busy in post-production

'Munna', produced by Dil Raju on the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations, introducing Vamsy Paidipalli as director with Young Rebel Star Prabhas as hero and Ileana in the female lead is coming up as the fifth film on the banner.

The film had completed its shooting recently and is now busy in post-production works. Special sound effects are being added to the film at Ramanaidu Studios and the final dubbing is in progress at Sabdalaya.

It has been decided to complete all the post-production works soon and release the film on April 27. Harris Jayaraj scored tunes for the flick and the audio was released into the market through Supreme Audio recently and is getting a positive response.

Prabhas would appear as a university student and playing a good role in this movie. The title will have a tagline 'Yevadaina Tappu Cheste Aa Tappuni Sarididde Vaade Munna' (If anyone commits a mistake, it is Munna who will correct it).

Dil Raju expressing confidence on the success of the movie, says, 'The entire film would be in director's point of view.'

Shriya goes ga-ga on 'Sivaji' audio

Shriya Saran cannot stopping talking about the songs in Sivaji. Says Shriya, who was shooting a song with Vijay in Karaikudi for Azhagiya Tamil Magan (ATM): “I’m a big Rahman fan, and when I heard the Sivaji songs for the first time at the shoot I just went crazy about them. Believe me, the way Shankar Sir has shot the songs, along with Rajni Sir’s dance movements, they are sure to be rocking.”

Shriya says that one of the high points of her career will be that she danced with the superstar to the tune of A.R Rahman whom she calls “the Mozart of Indian film music”. She features in five out of the six songs in the film. Says Shriya: “I’m there in all the songs, except Ballelika…., the introductory song.”

When asked about her favourite song in the album, Shriya says: “I like all the songs and the way they are picturised. I’m sure that the songs will become bigger once the film releases and the channels popularize them. If you were to ask me my favourite song it is Vaaji, Vaaji, , the title song.” Shriya refused to talk further on the songs, as she feels the film and its presentation will talk for itself.

Ever since the shoot, she has been humming the Sivaji songs. Now that the album is out, she has all the songs on her ipod, and hears it during the breaks

'Desamuduru' is my best film: Allu Arjun

The overwhelming success of "Desamuduru" has made hotshot Telugu star Allu Arjun's birthday this year "very special".

"Besides its huge success, its definitely the best film of my career," said the actor who stunned everyone with his performance in the action-centric love story.

The actor, who turned 24 April 8, wants to cater to family audiences with his next film.

"I have always tried to come up with something new every time. My next film with director Bhaskar of 'Bommarillu' fame will definitely be a family entertainer," Allu Arjun told IANS.

Q: How special is this birthday for you particularly after a thunderous hit like "Desamuduru"?

A: It's definitely very special because besides being a sensational hit it is also one of the best films of my career till date. Director Puri Jagannath with his delightful screenplay made a winner out of a simple plot.

Everybody appreciated my 'new look', including my six pack abs. I am thankful to director Puri for designing and presenting me in a new way. Another USP was Chakri's lilting music; overall it was great working with Puri.

Q: Will your next also be an action-centric film?

A: Not at all! I have always tried to come up with something new every time. My next film with director Bhaskar of "Bommarillu" fame will definitely be a family entertainer.

Also I have a great working relationship with producer Dil Raju with whom I had the huge hit "Arya". I intend to cater to the tastes of family audiences this time and I hope I succeed. I am definitely looking forward to it.

Q: How do you plan to sustain the winning streak?

A: Fortunately, from "Arya" to "Desamuduru", I have seen some solid scripts. I should also thank audiences for their overwhelming appreciation of me as a lover boy, or as a college student or even as a reporter of a channel. It has been very fruitful so far. I hope it continues.
